Head of Equity Capital Markets & Institutional Sales

Chirag’s career on Wall Street spans over 17 years when he started at Merrill Lynch & Co. in the Private Client Group conducting portfolio reviews for existing clients using firm's proprietary platform. Following Merrill Lynch, he worked for Investec Ernst & Co., a leading international bank, and after that as partner and Senior Vice President at Maxim Group, LLC where he helped manage and expand the firm's equity syndicate department. After Maxim, Mr. Choudhary was Senior Vice President at Rodman & Renshaw, LLC, with a focus on raising capital for emerging growth companies with a focus in healthcare and technology. Most recently Mr. Choudhary worked for Aegis Capital & Joseph Gunnar & Co., LLC as Head of Institutional Sales and built and expanded firm’s institutional sales desk. He has been involved in over 300 transactions raising in excess of $10 billion. As Head of Capital Markets and Institutional Sales at ThinkEquity, he will continue to develop and maintain relationships with clients and help the firm grow in all aspects. Chirag is a Series 7 and 66 licensed Registered Representative and a Series 24 licensed General Securities Principal. Mr. Choudhary received a Master’s degree in Business Administration (Finance) from Hawaii Pacific University and a degree in Commerce (Hons.) (Finance and Tax Planning) from University of Delhi. He was a member of Chairman's Circle of U.S-India Chamber of Commerce (NY chapter). Mr. Choudhary is also a member of Asia Society, a leading international non-profit educational organization founded in 1956 with headquarters in New York and presence in 6 countries. He is also involved with charities like Hudson Union Society of New York, September 2001 Memorial Foundation, NY and RobinHood.

Nelson Baquet

Managing Director, Institutional Sales

Mr. Baquet has specialized in financing emerging growth companies in the global equity capital markets for over 10 years. Mr. Baquet began his career as a financial advisor at Fordham Financial Management, Inc. working with high net-worth clients. After Fordham, Mr. Baquet served on the institutional sales desk at Rodman and Renshaw, LLC.  Prior to joining Think Equity, Mr. Baquet served as Sr. Vice President and was a founding member of the Global Equity Capital Markets sales team at Aegis Capital Corp and Joseph Gunnar & Co., LLC. The Global Equity Capital Markets department at both firms completed more than 150 offerings as book-runner or co-manager, raising nearly $3 billion in gross proceeds with a focus in healthcare and technology. Mr. Baquet is a Series 7 and Series 63 licensed Registered Representative and a Series 24 licensed General Securities Principal. Mr. Baquet received a B.S. in Finance from the University of Central Florida.
