Investment Banking Associate – Debt Capital Markets
Pay: $50,000.00 - $750,000.00 per year
THE POSITION
ThinkEquity is looking to add debt bankers to its Debt Capital Markets team. Ideal candidates have experience structuring and placing debt financing for corporate clients with institutional lenders including banks, hedge funds, BDCs, family offices and private finance companies. The position will require both the ability to execute on in-house deal flow as well as generate new debt opportunties from the candidate's existing network, company outreach and industy networking.

INVESTMENT BANKING
Our suite of services includes mergers and acquisition, divestitures, institutional private placement of equity and debt, equity underwriting, negotiation assistance, fairness opinions, due diligence, recapitalization, valuation, and strategic advisory services.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
As an Investment Banking Associate – Debt Capital Markets, you will support the debt capital markets team in all aspects of transactions from origination, to preparation and execution.
Primary responsibilities will include:
- Outreach to companies for potential debt opportunties.
- Outreach to potential lenders and investors on debt transactions.
- Deal marketing document and PowerPoint presentation editing and creation.
- Drafting and editing engagement letters.
- Attending calls and meetings with potential investment banking clients.
- Building relationships with executives.
- Researching public companies, industries and M&A transactions.
Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree in Business (Finance or Accounting).
- SIE and series 79, 7 and 63 licenses preferred.
- Both analytical and interpersonal skills - ability to effectively communicate with finance professionals.
- Proficiency with Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint and financial statements.
- Strong organizational skills, work ethic and ability to work on multiple projects. simultaneously.
